Proof that I do exist

In case you were wondering, I'm the photographer in my family. I bring my Nikon D80 every where. It's like an extension of my body, and just about every little thing my kids do, is photographed. I have taken thousands and thousands of pictures of them.

When they do something wrong, I often run for the camera before I discipline. When they make a mess, I take pictures. Temper tantrums are some of my favorite photos. I've even let Sam and his friend Cooper ride around on his Power Wheels firetruck completely naked, just because the pictures were so great.

The downside of being the family photographer, is that other than our wedding pictures and the photos of me pregnant and giving birth to Grace, there really are no photos of me. I actually worry sometimes, that if something were to happen to me, my kids would completely forget me and have very little to remind them of me.

So today, I put my baby in Auto mode and handed her to Brad. Here I am. Having fun with my kids. Unshowered. No make up. Wearing the same shorts that I've been wearing for three days...It's real life.
It's exactly the way I want my kids to remember me.

OK, I want that Nikon SOOO bad! I looked it up on Consumer Reports and it has such good reviews. I am not sure if I can drop that much cash right now, tho. The Nikon D40 looks good too.....

I am confused, but this much I know- your pictures ALWAYS look so professional and gorgeous.

Super cute. You look great Sarah!!!! Miss you!!!!! Wish you were here. Hey you gotta plan that trip for January when it is all cold in Boston and it is lovely here in L.A. I know how it is to never be in front of the camera. I am the same way. One of these days I am gonna go pay someone to take MY pics with the kids.

You look lovely. There's something about motherhood that makes the unshowered, non-makeuped woman look more beautiful than a movie star.

Saralyn-I get my comments via email and I read "Jeff's" first. I actually felt sick and nervous that some strange man left me a comment like that! Then I read yours and laughed/breathed a huge sigh of relief.

Thanks for the compliment...coming from you it was not creepy at all!

You look lovely!! You don't need make-up :D And I have no idea what you mean about wearing clothes more than one day in a row. I wash mine at least five times a day. Sometimes more. And I ALWAYS wear heels, and have time to apply make-up. Sheesh, doesn't everyone??

You look beautiful! I am so glad to see your smiling sweet face!

I got a Nikon Cool Pic. Never would hubby purchase me a big camera like yours - with my history and all.

Your pictures are always awesome! You do have the sweetest subjects, too!
