We had our first beach day of the year. The kids were in heaven and despite the fact that I have no intention of wearing a bathing suit this summer, I enjoyed myself too. This was the first summer in a while that I was not pregnant or in charge of a baby who eats sand. It's a good place to be.
They played hard
and didn't seem to mind that the water is so cold that it causes shooting pains to rip through your legs.
Then they slept. In the car. For two hours.
We will be going to the beach a lot this summer.

What fun. This is my first summer in 11 years to not be pregnant or nursing. Oh how my wardrobe is lacking:) I'll be enjoying my summer as well.
You're right, what a great place to be. I had that in summer of 2006, though I was pregnant, I didn't have to watch for a child eating sand, and it was fantastic! Love the photos.
We had a similar day yesterday...except that my 2 year old still eats sand and runs straight for the deep water- so it wasn't exactly restful!
